Commercial Drone Operations Facilities

Location: 1001 N Schmeer Rd

Status: Proposed

Amazon is pursuing a permit to add a Prime Air Drone Delivery Center to its same-day fulfillment facility at 1001 N Schmeer Road.

There are currently no local regulations or permitting specific to this new delivery technology. City Council is considering a moratorium on construction or land development for unmanned commercial aircraft systems to give the city time to consider the noise, privacy, environmental, economic, and quality of life impacts of these types of facilities and develop land use policies designed to effectively regulate them.
