PIR Lead Fuel Survey: We Want to Hear from You!
Did you know the City of Portland allows the Portland International Raceway (PIR) to host events where drivers use leaded fuel? We want to know your thoughts on lead fuel use at PIR. Your input will help us understand how Kenton residents feel about this topic and how we can best represent our community.

Community Webinar: Participatory Budgeting Ballot Measure 26-267

This November, Portland voters will decide whether to authorize City Council to establish a participatory budgeting program that would allow residents to determine how to spend at least 2% of the City’s General Fund discretionary expenses. Kenton Community Bike Ride

Where: Meet & end at Kenton Park, near the restrooms
Join friends and neighbors for a very special final community bike ride for the year. Get into the spooky season with stops to check out Halloween displays and (kid-friendly) spooky stories. Costumes and helmets are encouraged. Riders of all levels are welcome.

Fang’s Annual Fall Fest and Halloween Costume Contest

When: Saturday, October 31, 9am-5pm
Where: 3131 N Lombard St
There will be sales all day. From 12-4pm, enjoy refreshments, play games, and visit the KNA table to get merch. The pet costume contest is from 4-4:30pm. Trinity Academy School Construction Project Update
On Saturday, September 19th, the Kenton Neighborhood Association hosted a special community meeting about the Trinity Academy School Construction project. This meeting was an opportunity for neighbors directly impacted by the construction to meet with the developer, Integrity Management Solutions, and owner of the new school. Read more >

Amazon Seeks City Permission to Start Drone Delivery in Early 2027
Amazon is getting ready to apply for a building permit for a Prime Air Drone Delivery Center at its same-day fulfillment facility at 1001 N Schmeer Road. The KNA is concerned about how the drone deliveries could impact residents in North and Northeast neighborhoods. Read more >
Plans to Demolish Columbia Pool Announced
On September 22, Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) announced that Columbia Pool is scheduled for demolition later this year. In other news, PP&R expects construction on the new North Portland Aquatic Center at Northgate Park to begin in 2027. Read more about these projects here >
Friends of Trees North Portland Planting Day Set for December 5
There are two ways you can join the effort to add more trees to Cathedral Park, Kenton, Portsmouth, and St. Johns neighborhoods on December 5th: order a tree for your yard or volunteer to plant trees. Learn more >

2026 Dumpster & Recycle Day a Success!
On September 26th, we filled four dumpsters, a box truck of e-waste, and two trailers full of metal. Plus, we collected many items that were donated to Habitat for Humanity. Huge thanks to everyone who dropped off their junk responsibly, the volunteers who made this event possible, and our co-hosts — Arbor Lodge, Overlook and Piedmont neighborhood associations and Friends of Ours PDX.

Peninsula Bike Bus on Fridays: Please be aware of students riding bikes to school on Friday mornings from 7:35-8am. The route runs from N Terry & N Wabash, east to Kenton Park, west to Trenton Park, and then south to the school. Do not attempt to pass the bike bus or help direct traffic.
