Tell the City to Make Portland Parks Lead Free

We are sending a letter and petition to City Councilors, Mayor Wilson, and City Administrator Lee to raise awareness about the use of lead fuel at City parks, the ways it harms people, and better alternatives. The petition also asks our leaders to protect the health of residents by banning leaded fuel in our parks, including Portland International Raceway (PIR).

Our Response to Portland Public Schools' Proposal to Close Peninsula Elementary

Last month, Portland Public Schools released two proposals to close and combine schools across the district beginning next school year. In both scenarios, Peninsula Elementary would be closed.

The KNA is deeply concerned about the impact that this closure would have on our neighborhood. We are working with Peninsula families to voice our concerns and advocate for the school to remain open.

The PPS School Board is expected to vote on this matter on December 15th.
