2026 General Meeting Highlights & Election Results
We had a fantastic turnout for our General Meeting on June 10th — nearly 50 people! — and it was so great to see so many neighbors show up, get informed, and make their voices heard. Thank you to everyone who joined us in person and online.

We are thrilled to welcome our newly elected Board members — a great mix of long-time neighbors, returning Directors, and members serving for the first time:

Additionally, four Directors remained on the Board: Chris Guthrie, Alesha Pereira, Ryan Pittel, and Linda Wysong.
This is the first time in many years that KNA has had a fully slated Board and we are so excited to have so many members of the neighborhood signing up to be even more involved in the community.
Celebrating a Great Year
During the meeting, we took a moment to look back at everything KNA accomplished over the past year, and there is a lot to celebrate. From community events to neighborhood initiatives to civic advocacy, the board and neighborhood volunteers showed up for Kenton in ways we think we should all feel proud of. Bylaws Update: We Want Your Feedback
The Governance Committee presented proposed updates to KNA's bylaws. We used the time to provide background information about the process, share updates on the proposed changes, and receive community feedback.
The proposed bylaws reflect months of research, drafting, and community input, and there is still time to weigh in. We are asking members to review the draft and share their thoughts to shape future revisions before they are presented at a future meeting for a vote.
You can view the presentation slides from the meeting here and access all of the details about the proposed changes, including the feedback survey here.
Noise Survey Responses due August 1
The Environmental Committee shared information about the Noise Survey:
The KNA, with the help of Neighbors for Clean Air and researchers from PSU and OSU, is conducting a noise study. We are interested in learning about how the noise from Portland International Raceway affects the community.
Paper copies of the survey were delivered to households along with the Kenton Connect newsletter. Additional copies are available at the Kenton Library.
All residents and business owners in the Kenton and Portsmouth neighborhoods are eligible to participate.
We invite you to let your voice be heard by taking the survey. There are two ways you can do this:
Online: Scan the QR code found on a paper copy
In person: Drop off a paper survey at the Kenton Library or Kenton Firehouse (use the mail slot located on the N Schofield St side of the building)
