KNA Environmental Committee Update:Zenith Energy – DEQ Public Hearing on Monday, May 12

Zenith Energy is a Houston-based oil company that’s been transporting 300 million barrels of explosive fossil fuels annually through our community to their storage terminal in NW Portland. The aging storage tanks, located on an earthquake fault, pose extreme danger to the Willamette and Columbia Rivers and the Kenton Neighborhood, which is in the blast zone. Zenith is seeking an important air quality permit from the State of Oregon to continue operating. To let your voice be heard about this issue, comment online or attend the Zenith Energy – DEQ Public Hearing in person on Monday, May 12, from 6:45pm - 9pm, at University of Portland, Buckley Center Auditorium.
